A bit of a convoluted route. A mate owns Penrith gym, and put them in with his order. Then he couriered them from Penrith to Canberra. No idea what price he charged me for the holds, possibly somewhere between wholesale and retail.

Wow, thats pretty cool, makes the one I just built look like an amateur, which I am so thats probably ok then. Maybe I'll put some photo's up. Oh and I am stoked I finished mine too, is that a hold on some string?

Sweet woody! I've got woody envy now. What are the dimensions of it? Mostly, what's the vertiical distance to the highest point?

highest point vertically from the ground is about 2.7m.....

the hold on the string is a switch for a light just in front of the camera....

i have attached it to the slab with 10mm x 80mm expansion bolts and to the loft at the top with metal brakets; also put in steel c-beams in behind it anchored to the slab again by more expansion bolts and to the loft.....

the bottom vertical kickboard is 45cm, the next section is 60 x 240cm, and the top 2 are full sheets of ply; the angles go 30, 50 and 70...

phase 2 will be a 20 or 30 degree wall to the left to about the same height and 240cm wide

There could be good ice conditions on my ballz in about 15 minutes (it's cold here!), though I'd rather you didn't hit em with an axe.

Just the thought of that happening has bought a tear to my eyes.
I'm glad the lads at Araps had a mallet and not an Ice Axe.

After a month away from home on the sandfly infested paradise that is Milingimbi Island in the Northern Territory (its also dry thanks to Mr Howards intervention).

You have no idea how stoked I am to be getting on a plane to go home shortly.
Even more stoked that it looks like the weather will be reasonable next week, in Adelaide, might be able to sneek some climbing in.

Stoked to have found the Next Big Crag in southern Namadgi.

Not that I truly believe it has never been climbed on, but it certainly doesn't look much climbed. I'm going to pretend it is new, and ground-up some trad lines for the adventure of it. There's a million tonnes of rock down there, and that's just the bits you can see from the road!

Im stoked I have finally conquered my nemisis the Janicepts! Was much much easier when I kept my head about me-and didnt get pumped sowing it up!

Im also really surprised at how solid Amen Corner is at 18! I was more scared on that then the Janicepts!
