Mike noticed the "twas only yesterday" post by gareth, and then went and looked at the stats and members etc, and was wondering whether you had got any further with your thoughts or opinions on those that have not logged in or posted for over 12 mths.
cheers

30 members have both never posted and not logged in, in the last 12 months. From the comments on their profiles I'd say most were new to climbing, so maybe they found other interests. The others are probably people that registered, then forgot their password and registered again under another name. I think I could pretty safely delete those 30 users if we wanted to make the membership count more accurate. What do you think? Delete them?

Do they have e-mail addresses you could send anything to? If not, I reckon they are outta here.

at the end of the day it is your site, and I think deleting them won't cause too much grief. You have an enormous amount of regular members and that in itself is a testament to the success of chockstone. So as neil and rupert said ..delete away.

Okay, I've deleted them. I might run that script every few months to clear out the inactive users.
