Last week some dudes at araps seemed to have lost (at least 1) cam. I think they had just climbed the Bard, but I'm not too sure.

I don't know how many forums you have posted on before Metalman.. but here is some tips for future use.
Topic name - Make it stand out from other similar lost gear topics. Something like 'Found June 2005 - 2 cams and a sling' woudl be more suitable. Don't use CAPITALS for topics. That is equivilent to shouting.
Target audience - Chockstone has thousands of members from around the globe. We have people posting from the UK, USA, New Zealand, South America and even Queensland. I would hazard a guess that only half of the current users actually live in Victoria. You need to target the actual potential people who have lost their gear. There is nothing more annoying that wasting time reading a topic that is irrelevent or misleading. If the topic was 'Found gear in the Blue Mtns', i wouldn't even need to open it.
Do you really need to be so secret about its location? How many 'theiving' climbers are going to email you and claim it as their own? None I would guess.
