M9 the differences are seemingly half the size and weight, and a much bigger range of compatible rope diameters. The 2 works with new skinny ropes but still does fine on our old 10.5 cable for aid leading.

I was out actually climbing while you guys were rotting on there. I've been offered 70 plus postage for it if you want to raise them.
As a belay piece, it's perfectly fine, I just prefer the action on the cinch. It's quite noticably smaller and lighter than the old one and is rated to smaller ropes. It feeds similarly to the old one but abseiling is a little more touchy as it has a smaller handle.

The small handle problem is easily solved -
I'm sure there would be a way to put one on a cinch.
