If its conglomerate, ocean and lake it could be Mt Roland? Rysavvy Ridge?

What lake is near the Budawangs?
Also the rock there is mainly sandstone, although there is some conglomerate stuff around over near Corang Arch and the western edge.

The South Coast is full of lakes. Usually adjacent to the ocean.

Maybe your eyesight isnt quite as good as it used to be gramps.
It seems there is some confusing, the pic daaave put up is mt k, as somebody pointed out, on the south face if anyone needs any more hints. You can see both the ocean(cant remember which one...i skipped the day we did geography in school) and the lake is lake illawarra.
The other pic is what david put up...and i have no idea about that. That is the one with funny conglomerate rock not daaaves pic

This may be true but the last time I was in the Budawangs I was in my mid-twenties. I made about six trips there and stood on top of most of the higher summits and I don't remember seeing any lakes.
But then again, maybe my memory isn't as good as it use to be.
I still have all my own teeth, however, and have been known to bite.
So careful who you call gramps!

yes it is conglomerate.
the 'guidebook' mentions this 3m "climb" - a pack haul was needed.
the gaiters rather than climbing shoes are a clue...
A nordic theme.....???
Any guesses

Nope, its Brain Snapper Varient(21)...but close enough. I actually onsighted* this climb before I had done a 22!
*It was really more of a flash as the draws were already on it, but I hadnt seen anyone do it and had no beta!
