Can't find many decent photos i've taken of people climbing at Araps (plenty in tassie and the gramps - but the araps ones are all missing!), but i did scrape the bottom of my photo files on my computer to manage to find this sucker (the climb, not the climber):

Crooked Mile. Wizard of Id is also an old Gleddie route at The Fortress.

Terrible shot. Cut Mark's head off, crazily tilted the hroizon and buggered up the lighting. Still, I got the gear in.

He looks like a VFL player who got lost!
My guess: Margarine Ridge p2, Mt Hay?

Wrong. No clues with this one, which should itself be a clue.
Mark did put himself through uni as a paid player for an Aussie Rules team but not at AFL level.

It's at arapiles and it must be super easy as he's in runners and I can't even see a harness - is it rope around the waist???? Tip Toe ridge?

*** POst-edit Sorry, forgot to say - Wrong. ***
Of course it's not a rope around the waist - we weren't primitive. It's seat-belt webbing around the waist.
I haven't seen Mark for many years. I think he was the administrator at Mulan in the western desert at the heart of the "Diesel for Hygiene" fuss. They had this really good hygiene program going with the kids and they wrote it up in a way that had the Howard government give them the money to put in a diesel pump. The govt made a big song and dance about it claiming a breakthrough in negotiating community outcomes but the "deal" was a furphy. It was a creative fund application with something they had already done.

But it is arapiles? I'm judging by the tiny bit or horizon as between the lighting of the photos and the crapness of my computer screen, I can barely distinguish any rock features at all!

I reckon it is. the wispy "plants" that are hanging off the rock have central gully left side and "chossy part of slabby walls like tiger wall" written all over it..
it's the most distinguishing feature of the photo :-)
