Stoked!
Went for my first bush ride (24 km, after a 6 week absence from riding), on the new treadly this arvo and it handled the 12 km of singletrack involved with consummate ease.
I mistimed a gear change at one point due non familiarity with the new setup, and broke a chain as a consequence... All good as I had a spare joiner link & the flock of yellow tailed black c--katoos that settled in the treetop overhead made the repair task an unexpected joy!

Stoked.
Caught up with a yesteryear climbing mate (M75) today!
And a second stoke...
My injured shoulder from a recent MTB off, is also finally recovering, at least enough for me to enjoy some time on my m/cycle!

Stoked!
Yay!
I just received my latest covid test result - negative, which means my two weeks home quarantine ends today, and I can now resume normal lockdown life in our community…
~> Particularly looking forward to a Mtb ride this arvo for starters.
;-)
Post edit:
Hmm.
After a 5 week hiatus the ride (although immensely enjoyable), showed me my fitness level is a variable thing. Went conservative at my own pace for half my normal distance and felt twice my normal knocked up condition after it!
~> doesn’t bode well for next time I touch rock… though I should be able to keep the credibility intact by making it a pleasurable experience for a beginner climber, as I have a few of them lined up in the inveigle queue.
Heh, heh, heh.
2nd Hmm.
Last three posts spread years apart, on this thread are mine.
~> It would seem that the world is a joyless place for others?
