Thanks mate, thinking of calling the hard crack "so you think you can jamb" 25+
The nice 18, don't know yet...... will have to think about it.
More bolting tomorrow to make it kid friendly.

Moron was climbing on a TR setup that consisted of a single piece of tube tape over the edge. Of course that setup sawed through after numerous lobs off the climb. Fortunately it was the guy who set the top rope up that cratered and not his clueless belayer n00B!!!111.

Stoked that M9 and I got up to the new wall (golden triangle wall) and bolted "so you think you can jamb"
M9 was stoked that he got a first ascent on the centre of the buttress to the left of the gully, 25m of
glorious jugs, with more pro than even I have rack to throw at it! nice send by him, and a nice day out.

Way to go Bomber & M9!...jamBling.

I'm stoked - its been on the list for a long time and Sunday I got up the vertical, super finesse demanding final 20m headwall on Deglingué Syphlitique without falling off the 2 finger crimp last gear placement and impaling myself on the spike 15m down...it had to go onsight but I very nearly trembled myself off it in a dose of human frailty, I was terrified. It doesn't get many repeats - great climbing!

Nice one Rod. In part that's why I go climbing; so I can spend a day thinking about my own violent death, only to come home to a cold beer and remember how awesome I am.

stoked that I got back on rock for the first time in 6 months (goddam tendons). was doing a bit of guiding for shits & giggles, and we managed to sneak in about 4 or 5 routes at mt york before work.
also stoked that I lowered the Mad Taff with surgical precision straight onto a pointy branch and tore him a new a-hole... pretty much the funniest thing I've seen EVER in my life. almost.

nice one josh!

Stoked that I have booked tickets to Thailand, 10 days of climbing in Feb followed by 2 weeks in Vietnam with the missus. And even more stoked because I had enough frequent flyer points to book return tickets (bogan class for me and business class for her) and only pay the $900 taxes.

And just to pre-empt the comments, the deal was that I could go climbing if she got to go business class. Sounds like a bargain to me!

Stoked cause my infinitely patient mentor taught me how to lead. Stoked cause I led two easy climbs in what is almost certainly an all time record of slowest ever ascents that will ensure my name is forever known in the annals of climbing non-achievements.

I'm stoked that I weaseled my way out of uni tomorrow, I'm stoked that tonight I'm going to the Blue Mountains tonight and I'm even more stoked that tomorrow I'm doing Hotel California!

Another bloody climb named after a crap song!

Walk of Life, Hotel California, next there will be a route called Up Where We Belong or some other shite name appropriated from an era of shite music.

From now on I am only going to name my climbs after Bananarama songs.

Oh and by the way, olbert, I'm glad you are stoked. It is supposed to be a cool climb. Have fun and be safe!

What songs did Bananarama sing, I just remember the boobies.

I'm stoked I'm thinking about boobies and not work or rockclimbing.

So where is "Golden Triangle Wall"? I'm amazed you can still turn-up gems at a place like Arapiles. I guess there are so many established routes most people never get around to looking for new stuff, or they don't even realise that its unclimbed.

Stoked you reminded me about this (possibly not safe for work) combination of two of the above: http://www.stonenudes.com/

i thought it might be up behind Bonsai Wall, and that maybe BPs "crack harder than Paladin" might be the unclimbed fingery crack mentioned beside Mean Green Bean Machine - see here: http://www.climb.org.au/index.php?page=27&area_id=1058

but I'm just guessing

Walk Like An Egyptian
I heard a rumour
Love in the first degree

Plenty of classic route names there.

Anyone read Brave New World? They play a game in the book that makes a great route name "Centrifugal Bumble-Puppy". It will take a certain type of route though.

Oh God, yes it was. Honestly it was a bleak period and I'm personally ashamed to be able to name any songs from that era.
