Possibly the blue moon / spring conjunction, original belayer, sexy slinky new rope, cold crisp temps, all helped but the slightly damp lower crux and semi-ripped tips from the warm-up, meaning he'd only get one shot ultimately led to the perfect rhythm and he got through the final moves to the ledge and topped out . . .
After whooping and hollering he finally got to jump off from the ledge instead of falling from a foot or two below it as he had countless times previously, I think it's safe to say he was STOKED!!! . . .
Maybe 32 - probably the hardest and best trad route he's done, it's the modern day hardman equivalent of the old school 23's - it's as hard as it is and needs some repeats to confirm it . . .
You should at least try the half-pitch variant 'Culled ya' Sack' to the half-way ledgelet where you can lower of a horn with a retrievable sling, it's more like classic really hard 23 . . .

After ajfclark's comment on another thread its definitely time to bump this one. I'm stoked cause vagabond first daughter returns to Aus tomorrow after soloing around the world. The places she goes scares the shit out of us some times. Second daughter and son will also be home and we all head for Araps next week yay!
