Bumbed 'cause I stuffed up a potential climbing trip to Red Rocks (ACT) - sorry Brett, maybe next weekend? Stoked 'cause I spent the whole weekend setting up Ubuntu Studio 8.10 and getting my midi recording studio up and running. It's also got a video editing suite. Now I've just got to take more climbing video (and do some backing tracks) and whack together some Youtube climbing hits.

Though, I've got a potential employer at a place called Mountain Intellegence in Leeds, but what's in leeds?

There's a decent indoor wall there and there is some good bouldering in hills to the west, from memory.

Spent many fine years living in Leeds. Leeds v Sheffield is a bit like Sydney v Melbourne - too many entrenched views.
Leeds is a very cool city - very progressive. OK climbing walls - but good access out to all sorts of interesting places - Peak District, Lake District, up the road to Cow and Calf stones in Ilkley. Even get up to Scotland relatively easily. Simple trip out to Malham Cove also.
Leeds has very good pubs, good beer, good clubbing scene.
Cool places to live: Headingley if you want to be overrun with students.
Otley if you want small, old market town with highest no pff pubs per head of population in the UK. Ilkley to be on road north to climbing areas. South of Leeds tends to be not so crash hot (by which I include the whole of the south of england :) nor the east.

I think if I get the job in Leeds, I might go live in North Yorkshire in a place called Ripon, cuz its like a 50min drive (which is what I do to get to work anyway) living with my mates family.
So, in your opinion chris, which one is melbourne between sheffield and leeds?

Nah; ~ but was checking out climbing possibilities from half remote 4WD/motorcycle tracks around the base of Buffalo ... & also other areas to the north of Buffalo where the recent fires burnt out. Stoked as I now have a couple of projects in mind! ..., & the riding wasn't half bad either!
