I'm stoked that AirNZ fares in March are $76 one way from Sydney to Christchurch.
Anyone want to come to the Darrans with me?

I'd love to Ness but Dave and I are going to Frenchmans in March.
I'm officially stoked that my van is registered and back on the road. Ha ha!
The last fortnight without wheels has been shitty.

Im stoked I have only 4 days left of work before I head to Mexico and South America for 6 mths of climbing.
BTW Air New Zealand has cheap flights to US and Canada. I got a one-way flight for about $800. Return is about $1100-1200 I think.

I'm stoked to have climbed Beowolf at Coles Bay, what an awesome climb. Start off from either of a couple of sea platforms, up through some dodgy rock with fiddly gear then across the roof of a yawning cave that booms when the swell is up. Don't drop any gear otherwise it is gone forever. Awesome position in a spectacular location.
Everything on Whitewater wall was just soooo much fun even the dodgy loose topouts on some of the climbs.

Hello there Phil.
Having entertained Brother Colin at both ends of his trip, I am of course jealous but also looking forward to seeing the photos. That is, to make this relevant, I will be 'stoked' when you put the photos up.

You'll be stoked to find out that in fact the
Tassy trip pics are here.
There are only some selected pics up as of now. I may put some more up sometime.

Hey Phil,
Stoked to see you guys had such a great trip!
Particularly impressed by the Moai in silhouette! love the way the cloud cover/colour makes the top of it
look so much more daunting.
BS.

Ya can't call a handcrack bouldering really. Stonker sinkers that you could hang a family of six on. Coulda went to the top but as I was guiding on the trip I had to be a good mentor. I was stoked at every sinker hand JamB I got.

Looks like it was a good fun trip Phil.
>Tachyon Blues.
Did you post this on the Tassie forum and/or get much feedback elsewhere?
Travelling to Tassie to do Kangaroo Pt style climbing would still have an ambience that Kangaroo Pt couldn't provide ...

I'm stoked that Mr Australia Post just delivered my new (pre-loved) ice tools and they came with 2 spare picks.

And I'm stoked I had a chance to do the same on the weekend (and be entertained by him), when we met up for some granite climbing on the Orrooral Ridge in the ACT. It was a good weekend and I was inspired by Colin's determination and resilience in coming back from such a horrendous climbing accident. He's a tough fellow indeed and he owns the biggest tarp in the known universe.
And I'm also stoked that I'll get to give Colin a chance to sandbag me silly when I get up to Frog in winter.

Yeah, I posted the two pics of Tachyon Blues on the Tassy site and pretty much got ignored. Musta knew it was a gee up. Gareth guessed what was going on by way of the route name.

... maybe should have called it 'We don't need no sissy cracks' or something similar!
Btw, I overheard a bloke at a party who was quoting another person (a climber), about an engineering firm making ss bolts. The name of the company was Tachyon!
