Okay, I've finally found some time to make a Move Topic function. Admins, you'll find it next to the Lock Topic and Sticky options at the top right when viewing a topic. Basically it will allow you to move a topic from one forum to another.

If the destination forum is the Crag and Route Beta forum, it will also prompt you to select the appropriate crag. Hopefully Neil this will address your requirement, or at least part of it.

The only downside of this method is that it renumbers the Message IDs within the topic to accomdate the destination forum, so if anyone had posted a hyper link within a message pointing to the old topic in it's old forum, the link will no longer work after it's moved.
