This is how I >would often abseil to avoid unecessary friction on my hands. nobody has ever suggested this method to me! :( i have been told a few differnt ways, like wrap it around to the back of my leg and let that take most of the friction, or using my other hand, holding different angle etc... i'll try this way next time and see if it is comfortable :D thanks!
