The Peenuts look too regular in shape and the Alloy Offsets look too large to replace the original offset RPs.
Perhaps you could take a file to some RP's in the meantime?
I look forward to scoring some as booty when the cashed up young ones can't get them out on second!

Umm...when I said Mountaingear, I actually meant Mountaintools. They are getting em in mid April. . They are taking orders.

Needlesports seem to have them in stock (well less a #8 and #11 now :o)

I've found in the past that they are reasonable with postage charges and you get the 17.5% VAT deducted, so get in before they're all gone (and no, I don't get any kickbacks for this).

i still have my lucky purple HB offsets so will persevere with that....it can often go in where other stuff won't. i wouldn't get a whole set just one or two in the small to med sizes to supplement your existing wires.

I have 2 sets of alloys with a couple of triples and one set of brass.
Cannot beat them, they work where others will and where others won't.

I was wondering the same thing earlier this year before I ordered some gear from the US so I sent an email to customs. They got back to me in a day or so and told me that rock climbing equipment came in under general imports and if the value of the goods was less than $1000AU they would be released without attracting import duty or GST.
If the value was over $1000AU the goods would attract a 5% rate of import duty and 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST). The import duty would be paid on the purchase price of the goods and the 10% rate of GST is paid on the combination of:
- The purchase price of the goods
- The import duty paid on the goods
- The cost of freight and insurance into Australia
There are other requirements if the value is over $1000AU that I don't recall around signing declarations and so on. If you need any further details information@customs.gov.au is the address I contacted.

mtntools is actually really good...it took me like 2 weeks to get a heap of cams and they were totally
awesome. they even fudged the customs form for me so i wouldn't get taxed. really great people, go for
it.

Anyone know anywhere in Oz (preferably Sydney) where I can buy a set of these? Mountain Equipment is refusing to stock them because they will retail for too much...

Rock Hardware are the only shop in Oz, that I know of, that have them. I don't know if they have any left.
