I did a canyon in the Bluies yesterday and on the way out thought that it would be much easier if I wasnt carrying 60m of 10 mm rope. So my question is, what is the minimum diameter static people would be willing to rap on or have rapped on? Consider that it will be used by someone who is experienced and wont shock load the system as they rap. 8 mm? 7 mm? or even 6 mm? I am thinking 8 mm (no rational reason behind it) but others may have used smaller or may think 8 mm is bloody stupid! |
