Ah, got it.
I had the wrong idea altogether - I was thinking the biner was below the belay device and was the 'first line of defense' for separating twisted ropes before they pass through the device. Silly me.
In the interim, I've purchased a big pile of 7mm cord. I probably should have bought 6mm for the weight saving. I've yet to have a play with these systems. Should be fun and games from Heidelberg bridge soon. |
