"There is an Alien cam re-call by CCH. It appears there may not be any of the effected cams in Australia.We have to be sure. I am at work today until 12 midday. I am then on holidays until the 23rd of January."

"On January 12th in the USA, Colorado Custom Hardwear (CCH) issued an official recall notice for some of their Alien camming units that were manufactured after November 2004. The affected units are clearly identified by a punch mark that appears just below the base of the round ball where the axle goes through the cable eye."

"Spelean Pty Ltd is issuing a recall in Australia for any camming units that are identified as coming from the affected batch. Only units with the punch mark at the base of the round ball where the axle goes through the cable eye need to be returned to us. CCH has undertaken to replace any camming units affected by the recall."
