I don't know if there is a performance difference (I note your reference site says "similar to a thermos"), but have had good results from neoprene beer-holder type items, some of which come with zip-top closure (ie made for water bottles), that sell in places like $2 shops*.
(* Often used for kids school drinks, baby bottles, picnics, etc)
Not mountaineering like your likely application, but kept my hot drinks hot (including overnight), and also prevented my cold 'room temperature' water freezing in - 6° C temps, while bivvy camping out in Brindabellas etc.
Tricksy things they are, 'cos they know when to keep cool things cool and hot things hot, without forgetting and mucking up the sequence.

Cheers guys, I've got the same one at Canberra, works well for what i want it for and mounts on the outside of the pack well too. Just forgot to bring mine down to Melbourne with me, off to NZ next week and thought someone might have one laying around they might want to get rid of.

Brendan - I've got 2 Nalgene ones in Melbourne you're interested. They're the model shown at this link:

Drop me a PM or email if you want to grab one or both this week.
Cheers,
Adrian
