Hi,
I'm a sport design student + amateur climber thinking about doing my project next year on climbing shoes. If I could have your thoughts on this question I be really grateful.
If you could customise a climbing shoe what would you want control over?
Cheers
Mic

Hell yes! Ok, here is what I want.
Take the front end off an old purple and green UFO and attach it to the back end of a Testarossa. Surely not too much to ask?

Smaller/Shallower heels with adjustable velcro to tighten the ankle. Sick of my heel falling out of my muiras, ive been using tape through the pull loops wrapped around my ankle to keep it on.

How wide they are, i.e. not just the length as the varying factor in size.

Easy. Closure systems, the way they hug (strangle) your feet.

Expandable over time. My two boys are growing out of shoes every 6 months.

I have a set of Madrock "Mad Monkey's" for my daughter. they have velcro on the heel and are quite adjustable. I've been pretty impressed by how long they've lasted her so far...
