The field of view is pretty small and the price seems too cheap. I used to work in an outdoor store that sold night vision monoculars (Mitchells on Elizabeth St.) and we tested those out upstairs one night with the lights off. Of the three models available the first two would only show you silhouettes of people and things with minimal detail; these where known to be “good” in comparison to other brands but basically still sucked and started at $500 bucks. The top of the line model for $1100ish was the real deal, huge field of view, deep focus and fantastic detail, perfect for viewing animals at night; think night vision in COD modern warfare, but anything like that is going to be big bickies as I believe they have a small battery operated particle accelerator thing in them (photons into electrons then electrons sped up, I used to know). In short these seem like they will be akin to the former models and not the latter; I think your looking at $1000 plus for what you want.
