Thinky for a seccy. Harnesses are for a pull uppy force.
You appear to be in the market for something pull downy. Any simple homemade waistbelt will suffice...teatowel, teabag or tape sling are a few suggestions.

I agree that anything round the waist might work. However harnesses are for pull uppy and downy forces, or do u just use leg loops?

In my haste I misinterpreted your post - my most sincere apologies. However, I do still think you are mentally challenged, although not in the fashion that I first imagined.

Hey I have a full body harness which is like new but has reached the expiry date on its tag.
pm me if your interested.
It should allow for pull downy forces...
Ankle weights would work well as well.
edit: just found this vid of someone doing chin ups with a normal climbing harness
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daG4sh38BWI&feature=related
so looks like it would work fine
