Looking forward to seeing some more results come out of this - just curious, what is the likelihood (i.e how much spare time do you have!) that all of these results will eventually be published in one document? I think that it'd be very relevant to have a direct comparison of all of the results.

The only other things i can think you might add to the tests (apart from your suggestions and the general - carrots vs. expansion anchors vs chemical etc in both shear and tension, in various rock)

- What is the effect of edge distance on rock anchoring; the info on this in concrete anchoring is obviously very well defined, and calibrated against empirical data, but how does this compare with various types of rock, we obviously have information re: sandstone (hawkshaw, 2003) but is the failure mode the same in granite etc?

- likewise for anchors near cracks/weaknesses

- The other thing i'd be interested to see is a detailed analysis of the failure mode of various bolt types. Hawkshaw (2003) provides descriptions of the failure modes, however there is no mention of the loads at which each stage occurs. i.e at what load does local crushing occur? Is serviceability design a concern rock anchoring?

I know there's potentially a whole other research project in that, but just tossing a few ideas into the pot. :-)
