ahh stress less My whole rope looks like that! make me look like i actualy do a bit of climbing! I say as long as the core doesn't show, and the rope isn't to old without permanant kinks and still got a softish catch. its ok. remember that nylon has a limited life so your rope should be retired acording to manufacturers guide lines even if it looks ok. Another thing i do is periodicaly inch my fingers along the length of the rope checking for flat spots which can indicate core degredation. If the ends are stuffed from tying in, anchoring ect, cut them off the rest will be ok for a bit longer. (just remember that your rope is short!)
