"RESCUE paramedics and police are attempting to retrieve a climber who fell from rocks at Morialta Conservation Park today.

The man, 21, is conscious but it is thought he has broken his leg in the fall which happened before noon.

Paramedics are treating the man at the scene and officials are deciding on the best way to bring him to safety.

"It is being assessed as to whether he will be carried out or winched out," a police spokesman said."

Hope he's alright, but that doesn't look like Morialta...

I agree, it looks like the Compressor Route on Cerro Torre

Morialta would be pretty similar to Cerro Torre though, surely?

Hope the guy's OK.

Fractured ankle was a result of getting it stuck between 2 rocks at base of cliff after being lowered off. Climber stumbled and leaned over a bit on rope stretch breaking his ankle. Reasonably efficient rescue and usual over the top hype from media.

Dept of environment and heritage (DEH) designate climbing areas within the national parks. Climbers and national parks personnel have excellent consultative relationships in SA.
