coming from a phyio i would say this post is a mixed bag!! panadeine forte and valium are extremely useful in the early stages (2 weeks max) of injury. once the inflammatory process has settled its about getting movement, regaining extension (backward bend) and most importantly learning from someone who knows what there doing about how to switch your core muscles back on. this is crucial and there are more idiots out there who think they understand this process than people who actually do!! so if anyone tells you to do sits up or suck your belly button in as hard as you can tell them to jam it up there bottom. core stability starts with pelvic floor and guys that your ability to do dick jokes and lift your balls out of harms way- im not kidding really im not!!! there is no point having strong abs if you have no pelvic floor to hold it all up!

research shows that chronic back pain and stress incontinence (caused by a weak pelvic floor) are very strongly related.

ps from personal experience the 1st 2-3 weeks are all about drinking beer and taking pain killers. oh yeah smoking weed if thats your thing is also very good
