Finally someone else agrees.
Can someone get the message to the generations of Outdoor Ed instructors that the fist down the front check is not the best way to check harness fit.
I have disappointed a number of schoolies when i have told them that the fist check is not a good way to check harness fit. Yes the hippie outdoor ed abseiling instructor working at the school camp is wrong. (Although i can use "the use your own fist joke")
Oh and every time i hear iliac crest i think of Roger Graham. The only person i ever worked with in the outdoors who used that word.
Fashion often dictates how high harnesses are worn.(remember 3/4 low waisted pants from a few years ago) Higher Waistlines in fashion are coming in again and the young folk seemed to better at wearing them high. Although high waisted denim shorts create their own challenges.
