Falling off a sport route while clipping down low is always going to be problematic and will probably need very good belaying in the event of a fall. As well as the other advice above using a screw gate on the first bolt may also help with a fall at the second (yes I know this was a fall from the third) Letting the belayer know that the clip is a difficult one can also help although no one wants to be short roped!
