Damos view from across the gully. If 000 is called, and if these guys (ARG, ambos etc) are going to give up there weekend to trudge in to access, stabilize, rescue, there must have been a reason for it R-E-S-P-E-C-T that. The best person to commment on the situation is the person that was in the rescue team, who's been doing it for ten years.
From Shaggy
>Personally, having worked in the S & R field quite extensively, I do feel that the situation was over reacted to, bringing unnecisary attention to our sport. The last thing our sport needs is for us, and outside spectators to see and hear of police, ambulance and other assorted rescue vehicles and personelle swamping Araps, when other more diplomatic and equally efficient methods are available.
>The incident was relatively minor, but had the precence of a huge disaster.
>I am glad that it was minor, and I am glad that the person involved is OK
and the title "So called climbing accident"
Both are a bit inflammatory and insensitive, if I was the big K, I would be feeling like regulating. But Keiran, you did let your emotions get a bit the better of you
Shaggy, Kieran, shake hands, make up. I don't like it when the big K is upset |
