Similar theme, but slightly tangential....I have often suffered from weird dreams if I've had a big couple of days of physical activity. In my teens, playing tennis tournaments, I'd play heaps of matches over a weekend and after hitting too many tennis balls for too long, would retire to bed only to be still hitting tennis balls in my dreams. I'd be in this weird halfdream state and couldn't stop hitting them!

I've had the same thing happen after a big weekend climbing. The only thing that stops the continuous climbing in my head is if (in the dream) I purposely throw myself off the rock (safest lead fall there is!).

The worst bit is when I'm still doing the physical activity in my head and my arm twitches everytime I picture the action i.e. hitting the ball, reaching up for the next hold. So annoying when you're physically knackered and hanging out for sleep and jerking limbs keep waking you up.
