Hey - I'm glad to hear your procedure was a success as I go into have a SLAP injury to my shoulder fixed on 23rd May - I've got Jerome Goldberg doing mine, who is highly recommended and used by the Rugby boys and the cricket teams so he should do an excellent job.

You are the second person to mention that the pain isn't as bad as is made out, which is good as I have the pain tolerance of a 4 year old so I wasn't looking forward to that. I'm told that I'm gonna be in sling for 4 weeks and then 6 months off climbing. A couple of guys that I know who've have the same procedure have said this is projected recovery time for an 'average joe (and is based on their only doing 30% of the rehab excercises) and not someone who takes their sport seriously. Hopefully the time out will only be around 3 months or so.

Under physio guidance, I've done loads of pre-hab work to my rotator cuff and shoulder girdle so hopefully that will help and speed the recovery up, particulary lessening the time in the sling.
