Excellent advice :-)
Unfortunately, if you are trying to stick dynamic moves, sometimes flappers are par for the course eh? Probably one of the reasons boulderers love training on slopers.
At the beginning of the year I conducted a scientific study of the healing power of various types of bandages, perhaps I could share the results with you guys? I had just started HIT training and was pushing my absolute limit with extra weight on, the result was flappers on four different fingers.
Now not many people have the luxury of such a large sample size to start experiments with, I consider myself blessed. So, the highly scientific method after soaking my hands in cold water to minimise swelling was:
finger 1: normal band-aid
finger 2: no band-aid
finger 3: spray on bandage
finger 4: new age funny shaped silver enhanced band-aid
The results: the finger with no bandage recovered best. followed by the spray-on, then the one with a tough fabric band-aid, then the finger that had stayed soggy and safe under the dermatologically sealed space aged bandage. I think we've all learnt a lesson from this, don't you? |
