i have never had more than a shortish fall on a slab but running sounds potentially very dangerous to me, thinkhitting the end of the rope fast at a funny angle, even worse if you somehow tripped or caught a leg i the rope. i would reccomend using your boot as an expensive set of brake pads and try to engineer a controlled slide palming down quickly with your hands. i have a friend who did a very nasty ankle injury jumping backwards after falling on a medium angled slab, no ledge just hit the rock hard
