I have over a dozen friends over in the mountains of NZ this summer. I saw this last night before the name was released and had to do a mental check list....

I didn't know the woman, but several of my friends do. :-(

I used to work with her. Didn't know she climbed, perhaps she didn't at the time.

She was an old friend, and school mate of mine, although I haven't seen her in a few years. Amazing, loving person, terrible tragedy, even worse timing. Condolences to her family. At least she was taken from us all doing something she loved. We all know there's a chance it could happen to us as well, and that just makes it even harder to swallow. Rest in Peace.
