Second, they had a 30 minute program on prime time with a MASSIVE budget, helicopters etc. They had tea at the Mayor's house! We had 5 minutes and a $0 budget"

Sorry cobber if you took my comments the wrong way, I wasn't saying it in a bad way, I'd just watched the Candlestick film and was in thrall of the retro ness of the production compared to modern efforts, not knocking the current effort. The fact that the modern film looks so good with a $0 budget is a testament to how far film/video technology has come (probably also how far the ABC budget has dropped), but listening to the way the climbers in both films were talking, how similar the love of the spot and motivations are.
I'm sorry you missed out at tea at the mayors house, it is probably rubbish now anyway.
