Hey man, your trip sounds good.
I just got back from a 3 month season over there, hung out at cook for most of that.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news..... But many of the routes have pretty much melted out by now,
and glacial access is getting really tricky, as snowbridges are pretty much non existant.
That being said however, there is plenty to be done still. If rock is your thing then the west ridge of
Malte Brun is a CLASSIC, crux of crade 12 or so, plenty more in the same area too. Also around the
Annette plateau should still be pretty good, stuff like sealy and darby would be cool climbs. Up at
tasman saddle there should be a few things still in too.
That is also prime time down in the darrens, an amazing place, if you get to homer hut you will find
heaps of info there with the warden and everyone else.
Parteners may be tricky to find, but Mountainz is a fantastic place to hook up with locals
Hit us up if there is any specifics or route info you would like some more detail of, either here or on
Mountainz. |
