Greetings all!
I've just moved to Newcastle from the UK and I'm really keen to get started on local rock. I appreciate this is a VIC-based site, but I figured what the heck - spread the net a little! I've been climbing about 10 years in the UK and US, mainly trad, but I'll climb most things just to get out there. No idea what the grades feel like yet, so maybe a gentle intro would be wise! FWIW, after this years UK summer/deluge, I'm probably leading VS/low HVS (14? 15?). I'm looking for local climbers for weekdays of course, but I'm up for occasional trips further afield. My rack and ropes are still en route, hopefully safe and sound in a sea-water tight container, but I have the essentials with me to get going. Got transport too, so happy to drive.
