I pushed my trad grades and have only ever fallen on gear ~5 times. I have faffed around aiding simple, easy cracks, though. I don't practise (or practice) falling as a standard routine on any style. the point of climing is to stay on, not fall off...

I don't think they're necessarily inter-twined, especially as someone growing up int he gramps/araps area. Placing a crap load of gear on many well worn routes is what will give you trad confidence. Araps is perfect for that.

You can still do loops/interlink boulder problems in order to increase your endurance. and/or reversing problems or simply doing multiple laps with little rest in between.
Anyway, I didn't mean to get this whole thread started on it (there's another thread about the links between limits on different styles elsewhere on chockstone) but hey, there you go :-)
