Ah safely back in good old Melbourne as of the early hours of this morning! Planned or unplanned, I have to say that the holiday was pretty awesome :) It began with some climbing at Kangaroo Point on the Monday morning, James and I leading some fairly easy but fun climbs by the river. Then Monday afternoon was spent at Urban climb Gym scrubbing up before the comp. The most memorable day by far was the Wednesday which was spent summitting Mount Ngungun (spelling) in the Glasshouse Mountains. This consisted of a 5min hike, a 40m climb, a 15min hike and a 15m climb with the reward of the spectacular view of the surrounding Glasshouse Mountains at the top!
Then, after a few quiet days of relaxation, Themeparks and shopping, the Nationals began which was a fantastic event even if a little on the hot side (around 40degrees at the roof!!!). The climbs, competition, sponsors and hosting of the event were great and Vic climbers certainly put on a show, often placing top 3!
So overall we had a ball, even if it was all to do with a comp. But no worries, uni finishes in 4 weeks and then 4 months to work, climb and live at Araps and/or the Gramps!!!
BRING IT ON!! :P
