Hola amigos,
I'm heading to Spain for a few weeks in January, and am just after a bit of advice from people that may have climbed there. My plan is to fly into Barcelona, hire a car, drive down to Alacante, climb for a few weeks, then drive back to Barcelona. Has anyone attemped anything similar? Would it be vastly more economical to train/bus to Alacante, then hire a car there? Any names/details of good, cheap hire car companies (the ones I've found only hire out 'nice' cars.. I'd be happy with a shit-box)? What about buying a car? Climbing/places I 'must do/see'?
The above questions are serving suggestions only, feel free to unload any/all experiences in the land of siesta/salsa/sombreros..
