Some Adelaide mates and I made our first trip to Buffalo last Easter. The grades felt comparable to what you'll find down on The Bluff, but the rock is generally more reliable. The phenomenon of "the older the climb the tougher it feels" seems to apply at Buffalo like most places. At least granite is pretty easy to read - if it looks old-school and gnarly, it probably is. We only did a few climbs but I'd certainly recommend Maharajah as an excellent 3-pitch 17 which shouldn't hold any fears for you.
