I saw from about 10 km away a few years ago a nice slab and cliff about 200 metres high in the Deau River National Park. It is in the vicinity of Mongamula Mountain. Does anyone know of maps you can get that show what type of rock is in an area (hope this makes sense)? or does someone know of the face I am talking about? My mate and I are planning to hit it up but dont want to drive for 5 hrs and then hike for another two only to find out it is a pile of rotten choss. Most other rock in the area (around Araluen) seems to be pretty solid granite but you just never know. rock type can change over pretty smaqll distances.
