mousey I was skiing powder from early Nov till late May in the Rockies. & I do mean proper powder (face shots on opening weekend). people are still touring upon the glaciers now & its still snowing (10cm the other day). No-one had a half pipe round here (probably 'cause its all in the national park), lots of rails in the park though, & COP has a big pipe (1 hr drive away). pay is crap but enough to live on, setting is stunning. Daylight hours are short early in the season, but by the time March comes round there are 12+hours of daylight. If riding LOTS (especially big-mountain type stuff) is what you're after then its hard to beat a 7 month season.
