We were there earlyish in the season (June / July), but saw very few people climbing. It wasn't the circus I was expecting. Judging by the log book, I don't think that the Marmolada is ever very popular, and I imagine that most routes UIAA VI and above you would rarely find more than one other party on. The Comici on Cima Grande is probably the most famous route in the dolomites, so there are no suprises that it's popular.
I thought that the Dolomites were some of the most beautiful mountains I have ever seen and would go back there in a second.
