This is direct from "the horses mouth". I have it on good authority that the traverse behind the HK Ward gymnasium at Sydney Uni will be gone for good when the building is demolished in July. Access to it has been closed for a while. Back in the day when men wore flairs and then lycra it was the inner city's answer to Lindfield rocks. This was in the time prior to climbing gyms and climbing was free but not easy. I cant say i will miss it (too pumpy a traverse for me), but i know that up until its closure there were a few diehards still crimping their way along it.
