If you were solo walking the GR20 across corsica in two weeks from now:

Q1. Full crampons or half crampons or no crampons?

Q2. Any idea what emergency protection beacons (ie equivalent to Eperb in Aus) will work, and any idea where you would pick one up in Vienna - or as an alternative, hiring of sat phone?

Q3. Would you take an eperb/euro equivalent, or a sat phone? I'd go the sat phone provided the ninja's in helicopters can get a location off it. More expensive, but a lot more practical.

Pretty obscure questions I know, but don't let me down chockstoners.

(Ash - if you're reading this mate, I believe there is a climbing society in the old town of Vienna, it has a light blue sign and a climbing gym inside. I hired some via ferretta stuff there, it was good gear and reasonably priced. I am sure they will have a solution for you. You've just gotten married, play it safe given the weather could be dicey in Cosica?)
