Drive down Mt piddington road, its just b4 the pub on the left as your drivin from syd. take a left at the top of the hill into sylvannia, then right onto mt piddo rd again follow, and go straight where it turns dirt. follow the road down the hill, and when the road runs underneath a 10m (aprox) cliffline park on the left. if you walk around the back of that cliff that is against the road, u'll find the overhang.. plenty of semi-sheltered (u'll be fine but cold tonite) spots.

Timfreddo you are a legend!! Do you pass the cliff line on the left as you get to the parks notice board. Or is that the cliff line your referring to with the road traveling both sides of it? We need to find I soon, the beer is tasting to good! And yeah, the minus ten bags are ou tonight!!!

just before the road does the big loop around mt piddington itself.
where the dirt road is still 1 way, theres an unsigned parking area on the left (driving in). park and walk on the 'not the road' side of the cliff.
dont remeber where the parks noticeboard is... first cliff you get to on the left on the drive in.
not a massive cave, just a bit of a windbreaky overhang.
otherwise sleep on the concrete tables at the end of Mt york rd. only enough room for 2 ppl, more ppl can sleep in little shed/bus stop near the end of the road.

Righto. Know where your talking about now will check it out. Guys were talking about staying there for 2 weeks at a time and an old double mattress that use to be there. Not sure it's the same cave. Think they said it was closer to the climbing. But we have the tents as backup and will set up in the carpark worst comes to worst....

That's an overhang... But not the sun deck.
From where you've parked, there's a track winding down the hill on the other side of the road. Follow this for 10 minutes and you'll get to the sundeck. Heaps of flat sheltered floor space - and great views and sunsets...

Ahh!! Ok, we are about to leave and head back to the car park. Will look out for the track. It's opposite the car park where the road splits in two, yeah??

Yep - heads downhill.
You'll need torches - and when you get to what feels like the bottom, keep following the watercourse and head up and right to get to the cave - it's about 10m higher than the creekline and on the buttress.
