C4 size #2 Camelot, used for less than a year in good condition, $50! To the first customer, by pick up only*

(*pitch 2 of Geronation, Bundaleer, just above the shitty fixed pin. BYO hammer.)

Due to a rather rushed placement, I've lost one of my cams. Despite valiant efforts no luck getting it out even with a fair bit of big rock on nut key love action - and it'll be a few weeks until I get can back there with the appropriate removal equipment. So, whilst I accept the chance of me getting it back is slim (particularly know that its location is known to the world at large), you gear thieving swine are all on notice! But, at least it's an excuse for a forum on the ethics of removing gear:

Q1. When is it ethically justified to take gear which isn't yours? What's the line on the scale of diminishing wrongness: from their rucksack at the bottom of the crag? A belay or toprope setup that has been abandoned due to stupidity or bad weather? The jammed piece of gear after a long weekend when it could be ANYBODIES!!??

Q2. Is it ethically more justified if you have to go to some pretty tough effort - like you will have to if you try to claim my #2?

Q3 To what lengths is it appropriate to remove stuck gear? Chipping off a little crystal? Cordless hammer drill? Wreaking ball?

Q4. Is it appropriate to remove fixed gear?
