Good luck Brendan.
They can be great in the snow with an excavated floor.
I've even seen one used there with a folding titanium woodstove!

the one planet looks OK, wasn't able to find a price though.
I'm hoping to buy second hand if possible.

They are the kind of things people hold on to.
I have a Luxe Minipeak II which I really like. It's bomber. My mate widewetandslippery has a Megamid, which is bit bigger.
This mob have the sil nylon Minipeak for $229NZ +shipping

Hey Brendan,
I've got one of the old BD Megamids (about 10yrs old), which hasn't had much use in the last few years, but Climbing Anchors has them on sale for cheaper than I'd get rid of mine (anticipating the need for future use).
Also, got your PM, shall reply shortly. Hope all's well.
Regards,
Will

Cheers Will. Unfortunately climbing anchors only has the Betamids not the Megamids. Im after it for camp kitchen so want the extra space and size/height.
Will be good to catch up for a climb

Those Luxe tents look ok Wall Wobat. You reckon it compares to the BD version?

My mate Dave, who owns a megamid, reckons my minipeak seems more bomber than his megamid.
I think it's great and I only have the regular one, not the sylnylon, lighter version.
The One Planet looks like a direct copy to me.
I imagine they are both made in China, like everything else.
The megamid is larger though - all sides are the same length, whereas the minipeak is slightly rectangular. Sleeps two easily or one with stacks of room, You can squeeze four in a megamid but they cost a lot more.

I emailed OP out of interest and their tents are made in China too.
That pyramid looks so much like my Luxe Minipeak that I wouldn't be surprised if they were made in the same factory.
Except for the colour they look almost identical.
