I think I just might be the average user. I have both BD Live Wire carabiners, which I find bigger than necessary for draws / climbing, so I use them mostly to clip / rack my spare gear / shoes, though I do have a couple on the bottom end of draws, and a set of Metolius FS Mini biners which I find too small for much, I use them to rack cams which I'm almost always going to extend with a draw anyway.

Eventually I'll probably get around to buying a few more WC Nitros to replace all the Live Wires on the draws, and a coloured set or two DMM Phantoms to replace the FS Minis (probably when I get around to finding more cash for more cams). The FS Minis will become some of the most overpriced accessory biners ever.
