WTB: Low kms Subaru wagon/hatch

I'm looking for a Subaru wagon (any model), with less than 100,000kms on the clock, 2005 or later. Looking to spend no more than $15k.
Really after something that hasn't been trashed; want something that will last me a while.
Located in Melbourne.

...Also if anyone is interested in a lovely 96 Liberty with a blown head gasket, make me an offer! Comes with at least one dint in every panel!

Actually I just did that search and got zero results. That means I think you might be dreaming son! There is plenty of Subarus that fit your description, they just cost a fair bit more. They hold their value a lot more than the average conformadore.

There is 2 Forestors for sale however, which could be classed as a wagon I guess.

Yeah I've been looking on carsales, just thought there might be a climber looking to sell (considering how many drive them!). I was considering Foresters as a wagon, they're not that small? There'd be room to sleep in the back surely.

I'm 6'2" and have slept in the back of my mates Forrester. I couldn't stretch out fully but I wasn't scrunched up either. It was suprisingly comfy...

I wish! It was with my dodgy surfing buddy. He was suprisingly gentle;)

I'll pass on the kind remarks to Lize. And the IMAX hooked us up after our recent misadventure too.

I'm all about options though trying to get her to let me double up on cams for my rack is hard enough. Not sure I'd survive asking if it's cool to bring home another woman:) Not sure I could even find another woman either:(

I'm a member at ORS.com.
Don't let the 'OffRoad' bit of Off Road Subarus fool you, lots of well looked after cars owned by members there.
Anyway, have a look in their 'for sale' section.
Cheers,

Barry

Thanks, I looked there and also follow ausubaru.com but no luck on either; maybe Subaru enthusiasts (and climbers) hang on to their cars too long to be selling a low k's one!

^^^

I think that's the general experience/consensus.

2 years ago we tried looking for an outback or forester manual with low-ish kms and fairly quickly gave up (we'd just come back from living overseas and had no car, so we couldn't look for too long).

Fortunately we had the $ to just buy a new one, but we would have preferred to spend less and have the older model forester (lower roof, so easier to get the kayaks onto).

Good luck, but maybe consider an option B as well.

Mike Bee was selling one on here late last year - http://www.chockstone.org/Forum/Forum.asp?Action=Display&ForumID=10&MessageID=10135

Edit : just re-read what you're after - three strikes on line one whoops.

Consider a Nissan X trail. as useful as a subaru and in around the money you are looking to spend.

Thanks Rob, but I've decided to hold off for a year or so (resigned to driving my campervan around all the time).

Any other takers?
